Static pressure

The resistance air encounters moving through your ductwork + filter + coil — measured in inches of water column. High static pressure means the blower has to work harder than it should, which kills efficiency, increases noise, and shortens equipment life. Often caused by undersized ducts, a too-restrictive filter, or a dirty coil.
